About Us
Talokan means: "The essence of the earth" or "the origin of all things"
We are a company that blends a passion for art with the rich Mexican culture. Our story begins with me, a Mexican entrepreneur and single mother who decided to make a radical change in my life and fully dedicate myself to art. For 25 years, I worked as a secretary, but I always dreamed of pursuing my true passion.
My journey started by attending workshops and countless courses to perfect my artistic skills. After much effort, I gathered the courage and confidence to quit my job and seek a life filled with creativity on the beautiful coast of Yucatán, Mexico.

During this adventure, I discovered precious towns and indigenous Mayan communities in the Yucatán region. I was amazed by the incredibly talented artisans I encountered. That's when the idea of Talokan Art was born: a place where we could blend the art of carpentry with the rich culture and tradition of Huichol art, all infused with the vibrant and joyful colors of Mexico

Each artwork we produce is the result of careful craftsmanship, combining traditional techniques with a contemporary touch. Our goal is to celebrate and preserve Mexico's cultural heritage through art and share it with the world.
